I kind of had a ,what i thought was, better idea.
I am going to embark on a SP modification for HL2. I have no name for it yet so i've given it the working title "Darkmoon". It is set a few years into the future and is set on a scientific research ship (boat).
IDEA 1
You are an engineer who works in the engine room which is computerised but your job is to keep it working, your quarters are also in the engine room so that is where you live. What the research is about is unkown but you will gradually learn the secrets as you progress through the game.
It starts with you in your quarters overhearing the radio of the guard out side, "I don't know how but it's broken free, lockdown this entire level we can't let this thing get out! And whoever is on gaurd duty kill the engineer, we can't risk this being found out!" you then pick up some metal piping from the floor which you use to kill the guard.
You will then fight through each level soon to discover the "thing(s)" and then fight your way to the deck and escape on a helicopter destroying the ship in the process to make sure the "thing(s)" never escape.

Similar to before, you are an engineer on a scientific research ship and you overhear the radio "It's out lock down the entire ship! NOW!" the boat shakes and everything moves and you hit your head knocking you unconcious, you wake up and start to explore the ship, it's empty, "where is everyone" you think. You make your way through the ship uncovering the secrets of the thing(s) and fighting them. The Darkmoon is actually

I wish I could help , but I don't know much about modding , so I can do things like : storyline,promoting and other non-technical stuff

It's a customisation community for fps's and i set up a studio for the mod so it's easier for everyone to keep track of things and share files. Also could you start getting the sound of a metal pipe hitting various surfaces. I.e. metal, stone, wood etc. Thanks.

Sorry, wont be able to get it done until after thursday as I have two massive bits of coursework that need to be done. You would have thought that they would ease off during the summer term...
