Weapon Levels? Empty Weapon Levels?

When you go on the loadout screen to change your medics weapons,all the classes have level 1 infront of their weapons. Is there any way to increase the level?

No there isn't, if you look the new weopens are level 5.

So really, the levels are pointless and theres no need to put them on Evil or Very Mad

Well maybe valve plan on adding even more achievements and more new weapons.
